QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB OBJECTIVE:

Our international association is seeking a Marketing Specialist. We are seeking a dynamic take-charge assertive individual who can help our association take advantage of our growth opportunities.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Develop and direct short and long-term marketing plans. Identify appropriate markets, needs, and opportunities.
• Responsible for planning, development, implementation, review, and coordination of all marketing activities. These duties included:
  • Negotiate marketing communications agreements with association partners to promote the association via direct mail and e-mail list trades
  • Recruit exhibitors, advertisers, and sponsors for association conferences and coordinate exhibitors both before conferences and on-site
  • Coordinate company registration and participation in various trade shows, including staffing the booth
  • Negotiate and secure advertising space in relevant trade journals
  • Solicit speaking engagements in general industry and vertical industry conferences
  • Develop public relations and media relations content materials specific to association and product announcements 
  • Recruit advertisers for association member magazine

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field
• Strong literacy in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint required)
• Superior organization, project management, and time management skills
• Dependable and responsible work ethic with minimal supervision
• Positive, energetic personality
• Three to five years experience with business & market development, market research, planning and execution
